Costume Plans for this Year
-Mourning Attire - For an activity to honor the Swedish King during the
1700's Gustaf III (We try to lay flowers at our kings grave every year) a
gray/silver jacket with black decorations and black lace. I finished the
black hat for this but need to start work on the jacket. I already have a
black skirt.
Light Weight Dark Gray/Black Wool Cape - To wear during winter and summer
evenings.
Summer Picnic Clothing - Blue silk skirt with a polonaise dress made out of
blue flowers on a white background with silk decorations and a blue silk
hat.
A Bed Gown - For those nice quiet 18th century evenings in relaxed company.
I will probably use a light cotton fabric of some kind.
If you are curious about what I am working on please see my project page. If
you have any questions feel free to fill out the contact form.
Costume Diary
The Costume Diary is a recollection of my many costume projects. I will give instructions on everything I have done and what materials I have used.
Sewing Tools
When you make costumes it is essential to use the correct tools.
The featured topic for this month will be an article on 18th Century Re-enacting.
